How we use Travel PR to Boost Business for our Clients

At VROOM Digital, our PR and Digital PR team are experts when it comes to not only landing coverage but landing the right type of coverage which will result in increased exposure, leads and sales for our travel and tourism clients. Some members of our team have worked in travel PR for over 10 years, so they know what media to pitch your content to and more importantly, they have the strong relationships required to do it.

What kind of results do we achieve?

Our PR team is always focused on getting real results for our clients. Whilst every piece of coverage and every link is important, we always aim to target media that will result in your brand reaching your target audience.

For our travel industry clients that conduct bookings online, our Digital PR team works hard to ensure that we are gaining quality backlinks in relevant publications. When our Digital PR team create a campaign, they are always focused on achieving the following results:

  • Increasing online presence
  • Driving traffic to site
  • Boosting organic rankings
  • Supporting the efforts of the SEO team
  • Driving leads and bookings

In 2021, our client Doolin Ferry Co. launched their thrilling ‘Seafari’ experience. Our online coverage results were especially positive for this campaign, with our team landing pieces on the likes of Irish Country Magazine, The Clare Herald, The Irish Times and The Gloss Magazine.

As with most of our Digital PR campaigns, our media outreach also resulted in a number of print pieces with Doolin Ferry Co. featuring in publications such as The Clare Echo, The RTE Guide and The Irish Times. Numerous social media mentions followed – two of which you can see below.

At VROOM Digital our PR team also works with many tourism clients who like to take a multi-pronged approach when it comes to their PR campaigns. This means we will conduct outreach to numerous media channels i.e. online, print and broadcast.

In October 2021, we worked with EPIC, The Irish Emigration Museum, to share the news that they had been voted Europe’s Leading Tourist Attraction at the World Travel Awards for the third year running. On the launch day alone, our media outreach resulted in 40 pieces of coverage across online (e.g. The Irish Times), print, broadcast and social media, with another 30 or so pieces following in the days following the announcement.

What other ways can Digital PR help your business?

At VROOM Digital we have many clients who work with more than one of our departments. EPIC works with our Paid Social, Paid Search and PR teams, meaning all departments can work quite closely on any active campaigns. Our Paid Search team have also created award-winning campaigns for EPIC, picking up silver at the DMA’s for Best in Big Data & Analytics and Bronze for Best Search (view the case study here).

For some of our tourism clients, our Digital PR team works closely with our SEO team on creating engaging content for client sites. Where technical link building is required, our digital PR team, guided by the SEO team, will use digital PR tactics, in conjunction with SEO link profile optimisation techniques; such as link reclamation, broken backlinks, misspelled domains and reverse image search.

For our client Woodstock Hotel, Choice Hotel Group, our SEO team works with clients on content optimisation to ensure all onsite SEO and content is aligned to what users are searching for and can be easily read by search engines, while in tandem Digital PR could focus on technical link building opportunities.

What kind of PR techniques do our team employ?

Whether you want to increase your brand’s presence in print, online or across radio and TV, our highly experienced PR team can help.

If you are looking for a more traditional approach, then, depending on your requirements, our PR team can focus on the following PR tactics to ensure maximum exposure for your brand:

  • Traditional Press Releases
  • Event Invitation Assistance
  • Media Outreach and Relationship Building
  • Press Drop & Gifting Assistance

If online activity is more important to you, then our Digital PR team can work with you to devise a strategy that will support your current online marketing efforts. This strategy may include the following Digital PR tactics:

  • Creative Campaign & Content Development
  • Newsjacking
  • Influencer Engagement
  • Media Outreach and Relationship Building
  • Thought Leadership Pieces
