4 Ways to Improve your Click Through Rate on Facebook

Facebook ads. We think they’re fantastic. They work across a huge number of industries and for a wide variety of business goals.

Whether you want to build your Facebook audience or increase sales, the targeted nature of Facebook allows your ads to be seen by the right people.

Since we reckon we’re pretty hot on Facebook, we thought we’d share a few tips that will help to increase your click through rate. Without further adieu, let’s dive in:

1. Be As Targeted As Possible

Facebook offers a wide variety of targeting capabilities. So be sure to use it!

Find out what your target audience is interested in, where they live, their age, relationship status, education and anything else. The clearer the picture of your audience you can build, the better your results will be.

Test different targeting options. Test similar interest groups in different ad groups to see which ones convert best.

People have a great ability to subconsciously block out ads on Facebook (particularly those on the right hand column.) To combat this ‘blindness’, update your Facebook images regularly.

This is important for your relevancy score which in turn is an contributing factor to how often Facebook will show your ad.

Yes, we know. Shallow, right? Study after study tells us that images with attractive people nearly always outperform those without. Basically, ‘pretty people’ are more eye-catching and as a result, the majority of Facebook users are more likely to click on these ads.

4. Ask Facebook

In this post, I’ve saved the best for last. The fact is Facebook is a young company and things are changing, problems come up and ad policies change. The good news is that Facebook has a great support system which allows you to get a callback, have a live chat or email them directly.
